PawPost Dog Subscription Box
Until Dora the Cavapoo arrived just two years ago, I’d never had a dog. I didn’t really consider myself a dog person. I certainly didn’t consider myself to be a person who buys gifts for dogs. Then the first Christmas came. As she excitedly “unwrapped” more presents than I had received, I realised life had changed. My next step was to find a dog subscription box and that’s when I stumbled across PawPost.
Options and Pricing
PawPost offer a variety of dog subscription box options. Boxes are customised to the size of the recipient (small, medium or large) with no difference in price. There’s a selection of 1, 3, 6 or 12 month subscriptions and the monthly fee scales accordingly. There are two types of subscription: a standard box (ranging from £23 down to £18 per month approximately) and a treat box (from £10 to £9 per month). There’s also a cat subscription box which we’ll perhaps cover another time. It’s worth noting that delivery costs an additional £2.95 per month.
Selection and Quality
The good people at PawPost maintain a focus on quality and ethics. Food products are natural, eco-friendly and sustainably sourced. Toys and accessories are safe. For each box sold, a small payment goes to the All Dogs Matter rehoming charity.
I like web sites that include a history of the products included in subscription boxes. Unfortunately that’s not the case with PawPost but they do show an example of each box.
It’s sometimes difficult to justify the cost of a subscription box, as can be cheaper to buy the individual products separately, locally. One of the selling points of PawPost is that they try to include unusual products and items which have not yet made it to the high street.
Some of the highlights include Beautiful Joe’s Ethical Dog Treats and a Beco Bowl. The products are highly rated, good quality, and with good ethical and environmental standards.
